AutoCAD for GIS Training

Dates: September 9 & 10

Time: 1pm to 5pm (Sydney, AET)

Duration: 2 Half Days

Price: AU $750 per person

Description:

The AutoCAD for GIS Training gives GIS professionals a working command of the AutoCAD environment and the drafting fundamentals that underpin quality spatial data. Over the course of the training, you will move from navigating the interface and creating native AutoCAD objects to editing, layer management, coordinate methods, and object properties, finishing with polygon generation and polyline cleanup that translate directly into GIS-ready deliverables.

The training blends instruction with hands-on exercises and discussion throughout, so you leave with practical skills you can apply to real utility and mapping workflows rather than theory alone.

The AutoCAD for GIS Training covers the following topics:

  • Getting Started with AutoCAD

    • AutoCAD Drawing Environment: toolbars, menus, ribbon, command line

    • Setting AutoCAD distance and angle units
